Rest in Peace Pumpkin (1999-2012)
Goodbye to my best furry friend Pumpkin who died suddenly on Sunday after being sick with an upper respiratory virus. Its believed she had another underlying condition in addition to her hyperthyroidism which led to her quick death.
I am in shock and feel very sad which explains my absence in the last few days.

I have been unable to help myself in recent months as far a finding a job and bettering my life so I decided to put my energy into helping someone else today. I noticed on a friend’s Facebook wall that someone was going to surrender their cat to Animal Control (which set off alarms in my head…immediately imagining the cat being euthanized) so I offered to help look for a new owner. I posted this photo on Everyblock and it looks like this cutie will be going to live with a very nice art teacher in Uptown this week. He seems quite interesting nice so I also referred him to a possible art internship with a great artist. I am hoping my do-goodism will reap some positive rewards for me in the form of a nice new job.
